Meet the Animals

Over the years, we’ve had the honor and priviledge of caring for and loving many different animals here at the Farm. Each and every one uniquely special. Currently, the farm is home to ponies, Bethany & Derby, sheep, Penn & Teller, goats, Starsky & Hutch, and 5 ladies in the hen house.

The Ponies

Meet Derby! He’s an 19 year old Shetland/Section B Welsh pony gelding. He was born on March 23, 2005 and came to live with us, along with his mom, when he was 5 months old.

Derby is the ultimate “class clown”! Albiet mischievous at times (part of his charm), he’s a real “people pony” and loves to be the center of attention! He makes people smile! :)

And what a wonderful gift that is!

Miss Bethany, registered name, Bethany’s Boots, is a gentle, kind and quiet soul. A Trottingbred pony, she’s retired from harness racing.

Twenty-eight years young, she came to the farm when she was eight. She’s Derby’s best friend and the go-to pony for those who are nervous around horses. Her kind and gentle demeanor has a magical and calming effect on people; their fear melts away. Priceless!

Let’s Hear it for The Boys!

In the early summer of 2022, two twin brother Southdown Babydoll lambs and two Nigerian Dwarf kids joined our farm family. We named the lambs Penn & Teller and the kids, Starsky & Hutch. They’re lovingly known around the farm as ‘The Boys’. It was fun watching them grow up during their first year. They’ve brought smiles, laughter and a whole bunch of JOY to the farm! We look forward to many more years of their wonderful company!

Through the Years…

Through the years, we’ve been blessed to know many wonderful horses, ponies, chickens, dogs, cats and goats here at Cobblestone Care Farm. Each and every one brought tremendous JOY to those who knew them. We hope we gave them all a sense of peace while they were here. Some of them were fosters or boarders, here for a few months to a few years. Others, lived their lives out here. We hope you enjoy these images, most taken by our wonderful friend, Jess!

Forever Loved. Never Forgotten.
